hi guys

today my car suddenly doesn't start...

I think it's not the battery issue cuz I changed my battery like 2 months ago and I tried jump start by connecting wires to the other car (Acura TL).

Everything is working properly except I can't start the engine.

reading lights, HID head/Fogs are working properly...

What would it be?? My transponder inside the key went wrong??

Starter??

it may be fuel pump, check fuse

so if I just change the fuse my car is gonna be fine??

does it crank over at all?

50/50, if its a bad fuel pump than that is what you will need to change (worst case scenario), if its just a burnt out fuse than change it and it will fire right up. best thing to do is turn ignition on but not to the point of starting the engine and hear if the fuel pump is priming, if you dont hear that that you know either the fuse is dead or the pump is dead. If you do hear it, than it could be ECU problems or ground issues.

so if I just change the fuse my car is gonna be fine??

If the fuse is causing the issue, then yes, it'll be fine. But you haven't determined the exact issue yet. you need to answer a few more questions first.

Does the car crank over? as Tnation asked.

alright.. what does it mean by "crank over"???

does it mean the noise (ta ta ta) before actual engine starts?

if I am right, no it doesn't crank over.

the symptom is exactly same as when you are trying to start the car without a transponder. (all electronics are working but can't start the engine.)

So you just turn the key and all you hear is a click, no engine cranking noise?

might be starter motor

Check all your fuses first though. Just in case.

I don't hear click at all.

People said it's a fuel pump. yeah could be the starter..

if you don't hear anything, check the fuses as Gamite said, then inspect your starter motor. I had to replace a starter motor in my 98 Maxima, same thing, wouldn't turn over. Got a rebuilt starter motor, saved the price of new.

funny thing is I was able to start the car today... it worked fine. Everything is working fine..

It's very weird.. maybe bad transponder?? I tried with the key that I tried yesterday and it worked fine as well.. WTF is wrong with my car?? some said it's the fuel pump or fuse.. I was able to start the car so is that mean my fuel pump and fuse are fine??

Should I just change a fuel pump now in case of happening this in the future??

I also found out that there is something wrong with my +ve connection to HID headlight. I see burnt wiring harness.. maybe that's why??

BTW what the **** is wrong with my wiring harness?? why does it burn??

Okay first off, all those leads coming off your battery terminal are for your HID kit? I would take it out. I doubt BMW uses different wiring for 323 and 325. You don't need a wiring harness. You probably had a bad ground somewhere.

I think it's safe to say that shady wiring is the reason why your car doesn't feel like starting.

I don't know if I can connect my HID directly to the battery.

Anyway I prefer the wiring harness way. BTW where can I get a good wiring harness for my 55W HID??

I need one fast..

You can try Propr'one. Ask Empowerd, what he's using to run his 55W. I think he's using the OEM harness.

damn it... It came back again!!! I drove like 10 minutes to my friends apt and parked there for several minutes. When I tried to start the car again I only hear one "tic" (maybe starter?) sound and nothing happens...

What the **** is wrong with my car??

Junaid

hit the starter with a wooden stick or something to see if it cranks if does then it possibly could be starter, or check your connections where the battery is

My car starts fine once I removed the +ve end from HID wiring harness....

Now I just need to install them correctly. Thank you for your time guys!
