View Full Version : Exide battery for e39 540i - ur thoughts?

Just got burned by Sam's club in that they are closing and my 2 year free replacement on my Interstate can't be honoured by Walmart as they only carry Energizer.

Walmart offered me the money back but I purchased for $120 1 year ago and interstate now wants $190 to replace..

Thinking of going to Exide which aparently is an exact fit in height and all..

Any thoughts?

I get the money back from Walmart if you absolutely need the $. I wouldn't be worried about the 2 year warranty since those batteries will last more than the warranty anyways.

thanks for the response, my interstate died over the winter less than a year into my ownership of it.

My concern wasn't the warranty but ftment issues and it appears EXIDE is an EXACT fit to the oem battery. Even the vent location and size is the same... no need for aftermarket vent kit like the Interstate one needed.

BTW just found out that EXIDE currently makes the BMW batteries.

I run one in my E39 528i and it was an exact fit. The local BMW guy recomended it over any others.
