Selling the original M-Tech exhaust (Single fat chrome pipe) from my 2003 540i (E39).
Like chicks say; It's all about girth (of the pipe). :D
It's BMW part# 18101407970 and retails new for +/-$1000.
I'm thinking of letting it go for $300.
It's in excellent condition (ONLY 50K on the odometer) and IMO the best looking exhaust for E39 5-series cars.
I prefer it even to the M5 quad exhaust.

Anyone is welcome to come by and listen to it rumble, while it's still on the car this week.

If interested, please PM or e-mail me at mrvster@aol.com

Rumble with the stock m-tech exhaust? I felt it was too queit for my liking and I'm not a big fan of loud exhausts. The guy who bought mine bought becuase of just that. He needed an exhaust that looked good, kept the stock look and was very quiet. All in all good looking exhaust, good luck on the sale.

I guess sound is all relative.
Maybe I should have described her as; Brbl.....Brbl...Brbl...:D
The exhaust brbls even at cruisin speed.....sounds great when you start her up or step into it...though not annoying "boy racer" great.
Basically, not lame like all other stock exhausts.
My buddies keep on commenting how nice she sounds, considering she's stock.

as I recall seing a 530i w/ M-Tech before...anyone want to chime in ?
Once the exhaust is off my car, any buyer is welcome to try it on their car.
If you don't like it, take it back off and I'll fully refund you your money.
So all one is risking is an hour worth of labour.
Can't beat that !

The buyer needs a few days to scratch together the dough.
Last chance.....prefer to sell locally...this exhaust will allow you to cleanly retrofit an M5 rear bumper (which you can order aftermarket for $300).
