our 325 XI is leaving us in a few weeks - It was mainly my wife's car.
Overall it has been an very good vehicle, especially in our Canadian winters. Here is my final summary of 3 years of driving, at least the time I spent with it
final KM were 70,000

REPAIRS
one set all BFG all season sport ires (Continentals sucked) @ $975.00
one set front and rear brakes (everything) $1700.00
one set windshield wiper blades $65.00
ahole backed into bumper $435.00
oil changes 4 @ $125.00 = $500.00 in 70KM
fuked up tire (potholes) @ $500.00

DEALER ISSUES
3 times at dealer for screwed up headlights
1 time for general electrical screwups (various lights not turning off)
2 sets exterior mirrors replaced (silvering gone)
one recall for something I forgot about

Performance and Other Items
Great in the 14" of snow we had when we were skiing in Vernont - inspired confidence
Adequate (barely) acceleration in summer - really good in winter
always started
My wife loved it (that's REALLY IMPORTANT!!)
too much interior wear with low KMs (seats especially)
exterior still looks great when clean
Gas Mileage was ok, but not exceptional (knew that)
good handling but the motor...... sluggish (should have got a 330)

In summary, the car was a bit pricey, but I I would buy another one - it was a great all around car

sounds like a good summary of a 3 series BMW. Would you ever look at the competition before you bought another BMW?

His car is serviced by the dealer, so it's normal based on BMW recommendation (which I believed is 25,000 km or 1 year), I know majority will
do their oil change between at7,500 to 10,000km)

His average is 17,500 km (times by 70000) and he did quite a bit of services on his car. I dont think he is selling it off due mechanical issue.. is he?
