If you do it only at around 6995 rpm it should be fine, but don't go over that.

it's okay if you're looking to have the tranny drop out the bottom on the car...:D

C'mon guys be nice. This is horrible for an auto transmission, and relatively bad for your clutch in a manual.

What if you're rev matching when downshifting?

are we talking manual or automatic?
rev then put it in drive in automatic is bad.
rev then drop the clutch in a manual wears the clutch and is hard on the drive train if you drop the clutch quick enough.
rev matching while down shifting if fine if done properly. i do it but i match the revs almost exact.

LOL, yes its bad. If you want to start quickly in an auto, keep it in drive, have one foot on the brake, rev the engine then get your foot off the brake. This is how magazines extract 0-60 times for autos.

hmm is someone out to make their car sound like its stick :P
How about launching from second besides first? I can moved it from the second but it goes sort of harder instead of first gear. Is that bad for the car?
