Maybe some of you can help me out...

Just noticed the Infinity Kappa components:

http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=KAPPA60.9CS&cat=COS&ser=KAP&Language=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA

Has anyone had any experience with these? How are they? Ive been previously impressed by other kappa-level products, but have no idea how these sound.

I'm looking for a component system that will deliver solid midbass and clear highs (bright-sounding is oookkk, but deff not muddy). Id also like something that has a fluid sound transition between the tweeter and the mid-cone... no sonic "holes" the leave entire octaves to the imagination.

oh, and one more thing... they need to have some build quality... it would kinda suck to spend all that time weiring these up only to have to fiddle/ replace it all after two years of use.

Any opinions? - Thanks!

I have had the refrence components which is infinitys lowest line and I was really happy with them.

I got them used and had them for a year before they were stolen.

The kappas should just be better.

The Kappa line is excellent, and the Reference line is good too. The Reference line is less expensive, and is actually a little brighter, so depending on your musical tastes, you might enjoy its more forward presentation.

As for sonic drop-outs, I don't remember anything being amiss with either line, though it's been a few years since I've listened to either.

bought the infinity kappa, and installed them with a pretty large 4ch amp. the sound is amazing. even at low volume you'd swear you were in a sound studio. and with live recordings... it literally sounds live. i listen to a lot of classical, jazz, and picky/bright tunes. these are quite the speaker.

I'm running reference components in the front wired up to an alpine mrp f600 4ch amp. I couldnt ask for better sound, esp the tweeters, they blow me away.

Ny kappas sound good, dont get me wrong, but i really dont think the extra money i spent over the references was really worth it.

we should compare systems.

I have Infinity Reference 6"x9" and 2x10" subwoofers in my Focus for the past 6 years. They never let me down and the sound is great.

I hated my infinity reference series, had them amped n everything. Little to no bass, really tinny sound, and too bright.

Hmm. I had infinity reference in my old VW jetta. they were amazing. bass was deep clear and powerful. i have alpine type Rs now... 2 10s. i think the reference were better - at less than half the price.
