i just wanted to know before i go out and spend money on parts if there is any difference between an 86 325e flywheel and clutch and an 87 325is flywheel and clutch?

The 86 e may be single mass flywheel.... if it's a later year 87 it could be dual mass...
This is an educated guess not fact. Check the etk, or ask someone who has it.

If they both have a single mass flywheel, they'll be the same.
In My experience with e30s you could never tell by the year what it has, too many chances of it being changed.
Take off the cover on the transmission and have a look at it.
