One of my Ballasts died on me and I need to buy a replacement. So who makes the best one and where is the best place to get them?

Phillips! They are the largest OEM HID manufacturer in the world.

But be prepared to spend big $$$ on em. I bought quite a few of the cheapy HID kits off ebay and they all work great. No problems.

So far my Xtec (Hella) ones have been the longest lasting, over 4 years/160,000km

PM sent too I have a spare for cheap, don't think I'll ever need it.

Contact Ivan, (Prop'r'one)

I've been using his HID kits for many many years, and no issues whatsoever!

I'm extremely happy with K-light, and Prop'r'one's excellent service and prices!

Highly recommended!

He's also a Max Sponser, so there are bonus's in there for you as a buyer!

IMO, the most prevalent OEM ballast in the whole world would be the best ballast... I think that is Hella by a landslide.

does Prop'r'one also do HID's for non-BMW's?

afaik, from my numbers, the most widespread ballasts are bosch, not hella.
