I have a very large deposit on a S52 package I will not be potentially needing...may be going in a slightly different direction with the race car.

Great package I sourced through one of our great Maxbimmer vendors.

Package Includes:

S52 engine from an automatic vert
40, xxx miles
Paired with a M3 5 spd (from a known car)
OBD1 Conversion kit

Please, only interested parties who are not interested in low balling...I got a good deal and I am looking to sell it for what I paid, nothing less, nothing more.

Depending on what it is being installed in...E30 or E36, you may need a rad, and a driveshaft modification...most everything should be included.

I am sure the guy who is supplying the package could source whatever we need, if not already having it in stock.

Hi,

Could you just help clarify for me...

I'm not sure what the price mentioned - 3750 - includes...

1 just the deposit that you want to recover?
2 the parts with no install?
3 the parts with an install?

If it is only the parts: Who is selling the package, and what would be the full cost of it installed? I have an E30 325i coupe, and E30 325ix Touring - could it go into the ix Touring?

READ THE POST MAN...$3,500 FIRM.

Besides, the purpose of your offer is just to amuse yourself in front of your friends on Maxbimmer...if not Paypal me the money...$2,500 to thekartshop@hotmail.com and I will sell it, or return it in full if I decide otherwise. I guess I am calling your bluff bro...If you were actually interested you would have PM'ed me...not posted your offer so you can look like a "shooter" in front of your boys!

I have a $1,000 deposit on it...my balance owing is $2,500. I would walk away from my deposit before I would spend one minute negotiating the logisitics of finishing this sale. If I was going to walk away from my deposit I would let Tom make some money of it before I would sell it to somebody who likes to ruin other people's "for sale" posts.

The reputation of selling on MAXBIMMER lives on...come on guys lets turn things around...its a great site that needs to get rid of its LOWBALLER status because of stupid posts like this.

IF YOUR INTERESTED IN SOMETHING...PM THEM...DONT POST OFFERS...SPECIALLY WHEN 4 POSTS PREVIOUS THEY SAY $3,500 FIRM!

You have to remember posting on Max opens up the market for you. No where else would you find such a huge group or local buyers interested in BMW parts.

The downside is that we are a well educated bunch, and know the market very well. Depending on the part that you are trying to sell, you'd likely wouldn't have found a buyer if it wasn't for max. So trying to over-charge or offer anything that isn't a good deal probably won't sell quickly.

Trying to sell an engine is even harder, especially when asking the prive a used parts supplier/wreakage yard would charge. People generally want to buy from a reputable business rather than an individual unless your offering a discount.

Other than Max, you can post it on craiglist/kijiji/etc....and hope someone who needs an engine sees it.

BTW: I wouldn't consider this package e30 swap ready. It has none of the e30 specific parts that is needed for the swap (brakebooster, mounts, e34 oil pan, oil pickup, etc, etc)

OBD1 conversion aren't specific to an e30, just something that is usually done "while your there" and makes the swap easier.

I consider Tom a reputable seller, he is a sponsor of the site after all...he has the engine in his shop with my deposit on it...by the end of the week he will have the other $2,500 as I promised him. The engine was supposed to go into a S14 E30 race car that didnt reqiure all the pieces you indicated in your post Tdot...the car purchaser is rebuilding the S14 instead, and I dont really need the S52 for the other race car right now.

THE PRICE IS VERY FAIR...ITS JUST THE WINTERTIME AND THERE IS LESS INTEREST...I AM IN NO RUSH!

The engine is on other BMW specific sites...none of which generate these kinds of negative comments, educated consumers have nothing to do with it.

$3,500 is very fair for a 40,000 mile S52 package including the tranny and OBD1 conversion pieces!!!

My "maxbimmer reputation" comments are not directed at you T-dot!
