It all started a couple of years ago. With kids and work offshore the time hasn't really been there but the car is ' nearly' finished .."I just have to change that ... and do this!".. Well.. you get the picture huh? =)

I have 3 engines and this one is built to output about 210hp (without turbo).

The fuel system looks better with some paint on!

Looks like a twister has passed in the garage.. no it was only me doing some violent upgrades ;-)

Inlet manifold with individual throttle bodies. I'm not going to use this though.

The latest picture. There is an extreme turbo engine under construction but for 2009 I will most likely use the naturally aspirated M10 engine.

I will update with all the specs later.

lol, I just saw this project in another website that was linked from 2002faq the other day. The only thing that looks odd is the Intake Trumpets sticking out of the hood, but looks like a good project otherwise. Good luck!

Hi,

The reason for the runners to stick out from the hood is that the channels in the cylinder head is raised. It has brass molded into the channel to make a perfect straight run for the air.

I agree that it looks odd though and with the m10 turbo engine it will be a different story and look :D

Thanks' for the comments!

I'll be right over to pick it up- $100 U.S. good enough ?

I'll be right over to pick it up- $100 U.S. good enough ?

A hundred bucks followed by 3 more zeroes wouldn't be enough  This car was owned by a friend of mine and he was pedantic (spelling?) and had it for about 10 years driving approx. 1000mil (=10 000km).

It's around 380 hp output from the engine and 550Nm++ torque *th-up*
I will remove the Motronic box an replace it with a modern ECU.

Of course I will keep the Motronic box and save all original parts. I don't like the idea of having a ECU that's isn't "intelligent" and I like the idea of having more contol over the engine.

I also found that the turbo is changed to the B7S one =) .. and that the cylinder head is the later 745i Turbo head that have better cooling channels.

Sorry for not selling it but this car is amazing! Small wook R cars that starts to mess with me seems to be standing still when I put the pedal to the floor and leave them behind ;-).

0-100km/h (0-62 mph) has been recorded by a Swedish car magazine to ~4.8s. Mine has more hp than that car had though. Remember this is a car from 1984. I'm in love *love**love**love*

Thanks' man *th-up* Always nice with comments! I guess it's very hard to find B7 Turbos in US and Canada. There is a B7 Turbo coupé for sale on ebay.de or mobile.de (don't remeber for sure). I think the E28 B7 Turbo is more brutal though =)

Cheers,

Michael

My dad had a red 2002Ti. I fell in love with the car way back. That's why I drive BMW's today. Having said that he drives Mercedes. He explained to me he moved up one notch. I replied you got old.

Your car is Sweeet! Keep us posted.

Ted>> I think I've seen that car before. Not in reality though. It's really good looking. I like that color!

My have the original color and I'm reluctant to re-paint it. The value gets lower I think.

Anyway, thank's for all comments! Here's some more pictures.
The interior was replaced with BMW sport seats etc. I found a B7 Turbo E12 interior and bought that as a replacement. It was in nice condition.

It has shadowline kit! That's very unusual on a B7. Is that original? =)

Also is it 17" alpina rims? I think I will put that on mine as well =) .. looks much better. =)

Original Shadowline kit and Sia upgraded his Alpina rims from 16" to 17" OEM Alpina rims.

I must say that 02 is JAW DROPPING one of my favorite cars as a kid a bunch of my dads friends had built a few... Since then I've wanted to build a crazy one... Then I had my first taste of a Stang and well 6 fox bodies later and 2 SHO's and now my current 87 tee tops kinda took up all that time to build a Beammer

Do you ever bring any of your cars to the Ring? Oldtimer/Youngtimer and/or BMW - Alpina - Schnitzer - Hartge, events?

I was at Nürbergring last year, but with another B7 Turbo (E28) with 601 PS (HP). We almost had the car burned out because of a failing light switch. In rain and cold weather we managed to get the lights back on but headed to the hotel instead of pushing the luck. Before we left for Sweden we placed two tiremarks around the roundabout outside the Porsche museum in Stuttgart =)

I might head for Nürbergring this year (with my Coupé). At least I hope to go to a Alpina meeting in Germany.

Br,
Michael
