have any of you replaced your front control arms recently? Just wondering if i need any special tools to replace them

Any of these Ball Joint Separator(s) or similar.

If you're not replacing the hole arm only the bushings then you may need this:

Are they steel or aluminum on a 99 528i. If they are steel then youll need a torch and a hammer.
