Hey guys I am wondering what suspension everyone is running on their e30s through the winter. I was thinking IE stage3 or h&r race but I think they will be too low especially if we get anywhere close to the amount of snow we got last year. Any experience running either of those or any other suspension? Thanks

I drove through 2 winters with IE stg 3, had to keep my speed up through some drifts to not get high centered. This was in Toronto though, so I doubt it would work out in Ottawa, it just makes the car way too damn low. 6 inches of snow = screwed.

I also drove thru last winter with IE Stg3s... With drophats... Pretty much +1 to what Axxe said. A bit of common sense goes a long way with a lowered car. You will be fine.

Try calling Ground Control (http://www.ground-control-store.com/) and just buying the front and rear adjusters and hats, plus springs. The springs are $240 for four of them, and I think the adjusters and hats are about $300. What you don't get from the kit is the adjustable strut top and shocks, but rock what you got for now.
