Looks good to me. I know 178k is a bit high but it's probably highway, and depending on the maintenance, it's probably just getting started. Anyone know about the dealership? Is there a BMW dealership near there for a PPI?

Thanks.

It does look good.

You need to try to find out what maintenance has been done. With this mileage it will need a new water pump, rad, thermostat, crankcase ventilation valve, and thrust arm bushings. (normal 160,000KM stuff for a BMW)

BTW, going by your board name, don't expect Maxima reliability with this car.

Thanks. Although I'm in an even more reliable car now, lol, a Mazda.

The e39 530i is one of the best deals for the used BMW market. The M package is great as well, the steering is tight and the suspension is solid. As long as it has been maintained properly it should do you well. The one that I drive is pretty much the same as this car but it only has 116,000km on it and a slushbox unfortunetaly. It's a great daily driver thou and gets decent fuel economy, I get 10-11L/100km driving 'spiritedly', 8-9L/100km will be easy if driven conservatively. That car has the M5 style bumpers and the trunk lip which gives it a nice look as well. Also has an after market resonator. The front right fog is smashed thou, but thats no biggie.
