I'm looking at picking it up for my wife: I THINK I've seen pictures on here. I'm just trying to get an idea as to its service history. It's been repainted, which concerns me a little, and it's an auto. Anything I should be looking out for on the auto?

Thanks,
Nathan

^It'll be the first thing to get fixed, as well as the mirrors. :)

Well, I bought it. Hope it turns out, but the body (and underbody) seem to be 100% rot free, and it runs very well.
So now we've got a two e30 family, and might pick up an M50 parts e34 in a couple weeks....
Stupid expensive hobby. :)

paint the grills and get a lower lip, then clean it like no tomorrow and enjoy and fresh looking stocker!

^ That's the plan. I'll probably paint the mirrors black again and shadowline it.
Anyone have a good lower lip for sale for me?

_possibly_ paint the door handles too, but that's a personal preference. I find it looks too 'new' for an e30, or like they forgot to mask them when they painted. in any case, nice new ride for a good price!

The mirrors could have been body color, i think plastic bumpered e30s have body colored mirrors, i know mine does.

I dont think these ones are thought since their is a section of the mirror that is not painted which they usually are.

I've got three E30's with plastic skirts (89-92), and the 1989 has black (trim) colour side mirrors, and the two cabrio's have body colour mirrors. I don't think they look better or worse one way or another.
