Ran out of fuel...now wont start!!!

Hey guys, yesterday i ran out of fuel on the road. i got some more gas, put it in, and the damn thing wont start now!!! i had to pull it home, and did couple things on it. Nothing!! any idea what could be wrong? the fuel pump is working i believe because i diconnected the hoses in the back, under the trunk, and when i start it...fuel passes thru. so must be something else. thanks for any recommendations

What type of vehicle are you driving?

If it's a diesel engine you need to purge your system.
Regular gas engines should start up after turning over for a minute or two.
Check your owner manual for starting engine after running out of fuel.

turn on your key for a minute or two and then try it also push the accelerator down to increase pressure.

yea see my other post, heh, its a tricky situation....id love if someone on this board who knew about this check it out! heh, id rather KNOW exactly my problem is before i give it to a mechanic u kno.
