1993 BMW 525i For Sale

It’s finally time to sell my baby.

The car is a 1993 525i. Black on black leather, 5-speed. It just rolled over 350K but still runs strong. Transmission is still smooth and engine has no hiccups at all. Idles flawlessly.

Oil changed religiously every 5,000km with synthetic. Clutch is in great shape, was replaced about 6 months ago. Many old wear parts have been replaced over the 3 years I’ve owned it. Breaks are still in good shape (rear done recently). Vehicle comes with 2 full sets of tires on 2 sets of wheels, one full summer on weaves, and one full winter on bottle caps. All rubber is still good, probably close to 50%.

Interior is in very good condition. No tears in the seats, and no stains or burns, almost no wear and tear on the seats at all. Previous owner took very good care of the interior, and I did the same. Never smoked in.

Exterior mods include:
- Euro “smiley” ellipsoid headlights
- Clear turn signals on front and back
- Smoked side markers
- 20% tint on all windows

Performance mod:
- EAT performance software from Mark D’Sylva
Perfect chip for this car. Gives it a lot more punch under 4000rpm, makes it drivable in the city.

Body is in average condition. There are virtually no dents (the whole car was PDR’d about 2 years ago). There is some typical rust on the bottoms of the doors and around the gas tank area. A few very minor scratches. Overall it’s probably a 7/10.

Asking price is $3,000 AS IS, or best offer! You can post here, PM me, or call for details. 905-251-3993.

Need this gone before my insurance is up for renewal!!

Thanks for looking!

Here are some pics... taken last summer, but the car looks exactly the same.

I can vouch for how smooth the car runs.

Cert and etested?

Haven't yet, but I don't expect any trouble in getting it done.

The e-test won't be an issue... had it done about 2 years ago and it passed with flying colours. I haven't modified anything that would change this. the safety also shouldn't be a problem as far as I know. It's been a while since a mechanic has done the full montey so to speak.

Just keep that bad boy and sell me your E30. hahaha

09-13-2008, 10:41 PM
Haha... well, some people would tell me that's the better idea. But this new e30 is too much fun. I can only keep one, otherwise I'd keep the e34!

09-14-2008, 03:51 AM
With gas prices as it is, i would love to have 325e and nice clean e30. Cool combo.

Price drop.... $3,700 OBO, saftied.

Would make an excellent winter car for those of you putting yours away.... it's good in snow, comes with winter tires, and has heated seats!

Also needs a new low beam lens (current one is cracked, thus it will not pass safety without a replacement), and new sway bar links (worn). Repairs look to be about $350-400 including labour (and the insane prices of new lenses). If you want to buy the car as-is, and fix it yourself, you can save some money, I can deal. Make me an offer!

I just need this car gone before I renew my insurance premiums.....

I want to keep it, believe me....

You better believe it's a bump!

Bump, price drop, and update...

I've still got this, and would like to let it go before my insurance comes up for renewal.

I have picked up a crack in the windshield, sadly... I've been daily driving it while I work on the other car. It will need a replacement to be safetied. The headlight is also still cracked, but I can get a set of regular headlights to replace them (non-smiley, but it's really only a style thing anyways, plus putting the normal lights back in means normal US-spec bulbs).

The summer tires are pretty much done at this point, but there will be a set of good winter tires on the car, will last at least this winter and maybe more.... 2 sets of rims included with the sale (stock bottlecaps for winter, weaves [pictured] for summer)

Due to the cracks in the glass, the car isn't safetied yet. I would be willing to sell for a very good price as-is, simply because I am so damned busy with work and moving right now, I don't have time to deal with getting these things done.

Feel free to make offers, low-ball, whatever... I just want to sell it and have too many other things to worry about.

No one has even come to see the car yet.... at least have a peek and see what it looks like. A lot of people have seen this car in person at meets, and it holds up. The interior is in very good shape, and would make for a very comfortable and sturdy winter car (for all you M3 owners... lol)

$3,000 AS IS, or best offer!

$2000????? If I wasn't so strapped for cash with the house reno and all, I'd BE ALL OVER THIS!!!! Great deal on a solid car. Good Luck bro.... can't believe it.

Thanks man... yeah, I need something the girl can drive which means automatic.... I know, I know... I'm looking forward to a dull drive to work everyday.

teach her to drive stick... then you can keep it, and continue to enjoy it.

Yeah I tried... she's not bad, but she refuses to have one as a daily. I guess she doesn't appreciate the driving experience... haha.

Can't win 'em all... I still get to drive my E30. *th-up*
