pic? does it do both obd1 and 2?

Yup, I've used it both my OBD-I 325is and my OBD-II 328is. It works on just about any BMW from 87-2000 I believe. Here's a picture of it:

Mine comes with the hard plastic case to store that as well as the manual with all of the code tables.
