I was checking out this video (http://www.aatuning.com/turbo/grfx/Bmw12.73@115.WMV) on aatuning.com and I couldn't tell if this 3.0L 325i went through all five gears. It is the stutter after his tires start peeling out.....did he shift, or was the sound from his tires finally catching. I think he shifted cause I've never done 115mph in fourth gear.

anyways the question is did he only use four gears, or all five?

IT went through all 5 gears believe it or not. I heard all of the sequences!

First gear finished 4 seconds into the video and shifted into 2nd. Then by the end of 5 seconds into the video he shifted into 3rd. Shifted into 4th gear 7 seconds into the video.
Then shifted into 5th 11 seconds into the video.

That's M3Turboca by the way!
If that's the run he talked to me about, those were on worn out Bridgestone Re730 tires if I can remember.

I met him in person and his car is such a darn sleeper. That car really pulls and I believe it's the Stage I of the AA kit.

Can't wait till spring :P

Yep that's his car, PURE sleeper!!!
325 converted to 95 m3. All m3 parts are on that car.
I saw that car go, pretty impressive and he wasn't even pushing it.

P.S. Yes he went through all five gears, you can easily count them

M3 redlines at about 118mph in 4th gear

WOW 12.7@115mph That's impressive:eek:

Is he from around here?

How much power/ boost does he run?

He is from Markham

He's running approx. 12psi the last time I met him.
I think it's just a LITTLE over 400HP, but even in 5th gear at 3300rpm, once he taps on the gas, you can actually feel the torque pushing your body back into the seats. :P

Man, maybe I should swap the supercharger for a turbo:confused:

I'm tring to hit the 12 second 1/4 mile myself. No chance though:(

superm3, look ar RMS supercharger
400+ at the wheels

I you guy's don't mind, could you tell me where he got his car done at*th-up*

I'm thinking of raising the boost in my car to 8-10 psi(currently 6)

Thanx*wave*

I don't really want to scrap my current set up. I'm just hoping to improve on it. The reason the RMS system has more HP then mine is the aftercooler allows for higher boost.

Why don't you get an intercooler? jonsibal was selling his

His car was done at AA Tuning headquarters in Miami.

Hmm, I haven't seen anyone using a front mounted intercooler on vortech blowers so far.

For sure they do on the AA Rotex blowers.

Why not get the aftercooler and water injection kit for your current setup. It'll definitely help your car run more consistant and lowers the chance of denotation.
You could also get a LTW flywheel which would help as well for acceleration.

Keep in mind that 12seconds may be doable for you. It's not just the power, but you're setup.

Running too low profile of tires will affect your traction for starts as does the amount of PSI you're running in your tires. If memory servers me right, usually you want to run more psi up front and less in the rear.

There is another guy on another forum, who has a Z3 3.0L (same engine as 330i) with a RMS superchager w/aftercooler running about 9psi. He can do a 1/4mile in 11.71 seconds. He pretty much knows the proper dragging technique and is pretty experienced.

Thanx for all your help with the info. Water injection is kinda costly and complex, the aftercooler is more suitable for my set up but so far I can't seem to find one without paying $1500.

To top it all off my insuance company just called me to tell me that they were discontiueing my insurance because of the charger. They want some sort of dyno test so I can prove the charger isn't putting out alot of HP*mumble* *thmbsdwn*

superM3...vortech has an aftercooling system made for their blowers, check it out...$1500 is a good price if its CDN, is that with install? dont cheap out with stuff liek this man...this can determine your engine staying together, or the engine being blown under higher boost!

Even without the aftercooler, he can't blow his engine.
He's only running about 6psi, which I most likely think, RMS, ERT, Dinan purposely built the kit so that running 6psi is still fine without the aftercooler.

Back when my friend who owned that Techno Violet supercharged M3 (which I suppose could be Superm3's car now), he often tracked it at Mosport and Shannonville. The engine hasn't blown yet?

Well you could always get someone's stock e36 M3 dyno sheet off of someone and mail that into them.

Unless they want to witness you dynoing the car then I can't think of a way out. How did they know you had a supercharger in the first place?

It was claimed stolen and repalced by the insurance company.

I could try using somones dyno results, but do they have a v.i.n # or anything that would give me away:confused:

Oh and Jon I would never cheap out and raise the boost without the proper modificatoins. This car's my baby now*th-up*

328DTM i meant if he upped the boost on the blower...if u want 9psi roughly, or more..u need a stand alone fuel management system (everytime i say this, i think of that damn movie)

Not necessarily true :)

I've seen a couple guys using the centrifugal/powerdyne blower running about 9-10psi. None have a standalone system

At the most they have an aftercooler, larger injectors or changed fuel pressure regulator, reprogrammed ecu, etc.

They have dynoed their cars are are pretty much running fine *th-up*

No they don't but if they do, for a case of beer it can be changed :D I can run dyno for you, you pay ;)

Better not to tell the insurance company anything that they don't need to know. Either way the thief steals your car and the insurance company steals your money.

Believe me I wish I could have avoided this hole mess:mad:

Sickfinga How can you dyno my car:confused:

Better yet.....they told me that if I get a fax or somthing from a Dealership saying you can get a dinan supercharger from them, then technically it's a factory option and i'm in the clear.

Anyone know a dealer willing to do this for me?....I'll by the beer;) ;)

just go to a dealer and ask for invoice
