From what i've read, if you properly lubricate the front diffs, use a spacer to increase the contact area between the front driveshaft and diff, and dont be stupid about it, they can actually hold quite a bit of power.

^ you're close, that refers to the splines between the driveshaft and _transfer case_. the shim goes on the front diff end.
my front driveshaft is welded to the t-case anyways, so thats one thing i dont have to worry about haha
