engine revs take a long time to drop when shifting and in neutral

Hi all,
I noticed that when I accelerate and clutch in to shift, the engine revs don't drop much at all. I would've suspected a clutch problem but when the car is in neutral and I rev, it still lingers before coming back down. I'm new to the car and am wondering if its just a trait or if I have an issue. Thanks

idle control valve sticking... pull it out and clean it, and see if there us any improvement.

cool, thanks. would the 02 sensor also be a culprit?

I'd say check the afm for binding, check tps for the 'click' also do a quick check on the throttle body flap.

Could be a number of things.
