i've gone to Home Depo, Rona, Canadian Tire, Dollar Stores and still cant find 2000, 3000, and 4000 grit sandpaper to get my lenses done. Other than the Pacific Mall are there any other locations that might have these? Possibly in Woodbridge, Brampton, or Sauga? Thanks

hobby stores

you dont need 4000 grit, 1600 grit wet sandpaper + polishing compound will work fine

Have you tried Plast-X? I used a polishing compound with a cheap buffer and it's held up pretty good so far.

One of the reason one might go up to 4000 grit is to make the scratches more uniform so that when its time to polish out the sanding mark, it would be much easier to remove and polish.

Also when you are done sanding and polishig, spray some wax remover on the lense and wipe it down. Get the clearcoat spray can, shoot some clear on top.

4000... are you nuts lol. You only really need 800 grit and maybe 1500 or 2000. I bought it at Canadian tire. But you could try automotive warehouse.
