Hi,
What are the best options for an e30 cat back system? I don't want anything too loud just nice euro grunt when pushed. I looked at the Ireland Engineering option but would love a local supplier.

Best bet is the Ireland engineering cat-back or a nice magnaflow muffler with some resonators to keep the sound down. But for a slighty deeper sound than stock by far the IE is the #1 choice for that. Its also lighter so you save some weight. The only thing local i can suggest if that what you want is a magnaflow muffler w/ a resonator to keep the sound down but still good sounding.

Another touring?
Yes! Mine is in the middle of a long list of upgrades. Currently a resident of Bimmersport getting a heart transplant and a host of other goodies! I can hardly wait.*th-up*
Okay looks like IE cat back is the choice.

I have a stebro in mine, and I got it from a supplier in Ottawa.
Its does get pretty throaty when you gas it, but the rumble suits the e30.

I am, for now... I don't think it's gonna stay that way. It sounds wicked, but it's seriously loud, and I want to build a little more compression on the out.

Well started as a simple 1989 320i 5spd manual everything car including manual rack (yum). DiamondSwartz
The story so far:
Billy sports/springs
Complete front end suspension rebuild (control arms tie rods urethane bushings)
Engine swap M52 (low low mileage) ODB 1 conversion
Transmission swap
Ireland Engineering strut tower brace
I have buckets of parts waiting to install after I get it back from the swap on Monday. One or two weeks of driving then back in for complete tear down and paint/interior work.
It will be at the Bimmersport BBQ on July 27th
Also Bimmersport crew...what can I say...they are gods!!!
I just sold my e28 M5 to fund this little project e30 tourings are the sex!!

It might have been your car that I saw about 3 weeks ago at bimmersport. It was dark blue, was it yours?

No mine is DiamondSwartz (Met Black).
There is a green one that I looked at Biimersport a few weeks ago and there is another one or two Tourings that are popping up around GTA.
I think they are the most popular import for e30s now, with most coming from either Europe or like my friends Japan.

I have a straight pipe off the car to a magnaflow. It sounds alright, got a lot of holes because the welder I was using was shit. But oh well.
I had a Brullen cat back system on my 01 e46 and by far the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard.
When I sold the car I searched and searched for another Brullen exhaust (was locally made in GTA but now no longer avail/around) and found one so it's sitting in my garage waiting for my next toy...
which should be shipped tomorrow and I'll be joining the e30 touring ranks..
