Moving soon to Canada, ON and looking forward to get my first luxurious Bimmer. I own an E36 316i compact at the moment :D . But it's the most reliable car I ever had and very low on fuel (average 7.5L per 100km)

With some extras a new 335i coupe is going to cost around $55-57k.
So how much would I had to pay incl. all taxes you have in Ontario.

I'm not so familiar with the tax system in Canada, but I heard from my relatives that I would have to pay 15% additionally to the price indicated on a price shield for example.

So if 335i costs $55k, so what would be the total price? Because I don't feel like paying more than $60k for a car. Thanks.

The tax rate in Ontario is 8% plus 5% for the GST, so the total tax is 13%. You also have to pay $100.00 air conditioning tax and a gas tax of $75.00 for the 3 series (I think it was 75 dollars). These are a one time tax not an annual tax, also if buy used or a demo you are exempt from the air and gas tax. So if a car cost $55 000, after the sales tax it would be $62 150 plus the air and gas tax. Also don't forget about the 1800.00 freight and a few other small charges.

I don't know when you are arriving here but BMW currently has a $4000.00 rebate if you pay cash for your 335, not sure when it is ending though.

Thanks for this information.

I might get a used one for under 50k. One big advantage, I would not have to wait for my car to be produced and then be delivered. This sure would take some weeks.

There is a red one for $ 43,995.00 on autotrader.ca.
My pimp car :D ;-))

Weeks ???? more like months lol I ordered mine on April 3rd and I'm still waiting for it lol . You might also want to check www.bmw.ca and check the "pre-owned vehicles" section, there are a few used ones on there, just make sure they are in Ontario !

But the waiting time will pay off, there is nothing like your own brand new bimmer *mw*

I checked the pre-owned vehicles section already. I would sure buy my bimmer only at an official BMW dealership. Old vehicle doesn't really matter where you buy, but if it's an one-year-old car you better want to be on the safe side.
