Here's a little something I stumbled upon today..... not specifically about the M5, more about M cars in general.... another classic vid for the collection.

Hey Ant, didn't you say you had one to add to....?

Meh... its not e30

because it's not possible to appreciate anything other than an e30?

Don't worry chromius, some people are just ignorant or looking for attention. If one can not appreciate the mother of all sedans, then there isn't much to be said to them.
e28 M5>* sedans of that era.
e34 M5>* sedans of that era.
e39 M5>* sedans of that era.
e60 M5>* sedans of that era

it has been documented time after time.

^^e28 m5, agreed.

e34 m5, i'll give you.

e39 m5? no.

e60 m5, hell no.

the e60 is easy to rip apart, i like the new AMG benzes better, and they're AUTO!

e39 m5? no.

Really? the e39 is the perfect big sedan if you ask me.

I think you're right all the way up to the e39..... the e60 M5 doesn't strike me as having that kind of influence anymore. It's got power thats for sure, but it just doesn't have that.... extra touch.

Benz is near to top in that department for now, even if they don't have the same feel. But the technology and the class takes the cake.

Still..... E34 M5 FTW!

Ill agree with you on the e60. It doesn't have the torque it should Sure has the nice feel though, something that AMG is barely starting to accomplish now.

E39 M5 is a HECK of a machine.

You know... god's chariot.

You should consider using a laughing smiley for jokes>>>>:D

Otherwise it comes across badly. Either way..that's a new joke to me.
