Hey i was just lookin at this site autosource.biz and they sell a bunch of cars coming from insurance companies (all stolen, flooded or accidented cars) and i was lookin at an stolen/recovered e46 m3 for 18 000$...I was wondering is it a bad idea to buy these cars or is it really worth it?

It all depends on the car you are dealing with, its on a case to case basis, no 2 cars/deals are the same. But in general, you can save a LOT if you know what you are doing, and do some checking before you buy. I have saved $15K on a brand new (less they 1 year) old vehicle, with NO damage, not even a scratch! But in most cases you sacrifice factory warranty. Resale value will also be affected...
