For sale is an original exhaust that came from an 1999 E36 M3 and has only ~30,000km on it! It originally came from a southern car and has only been through the most recent winter in my car, and even then I rarely drive my car in the winter. (Probably has a couple thousand winter-driven km's on it max)

Thing is, the tips could use some polishing and because of the way it was stored, one of the tips is a little dented. Nothing an exhaust shop couldn't fix (or you can even weld on some nice new tips). The internals of the exhaust are definitely in mint condition though. As a result, I am asking only $150 firm for it. PM me!

yes. Will fit on any 325/328/M3, or even 323 with a midpipe from one of the others.

If only I could hear a local 328 with this setup. I've been thinking of going back to a quieter exhaust than the one I am using.

I've got one on my 328 for the last year, it sounds quite at low rpms, but under acceleration it has some bark. I find my CAI has makes more noise then my exhaust when I push the pedal down, so I wouldn't say it's loud. If your looking for an understated note at low rpms with a definite improvement and presence at WOT from the stock 328 exhaust, this a good investment. The tips look much better then the stock black tips also.

To restore mine that had 90k's I polished the tips with a chrome polish and also painted the exhaust body and pipes with high temp manifold flat black spray paint. Here's a pic:

I'll have to come out to a meet so you can hear it.

I had it on my 325. The idle is a little deeper, and it's noticeably throatier when you get on the throttle but still sounds subtle and non-intrusive.

As with any exhaust on the E36, I wouldn't expect much on the performance end. If anything, you might gain a couple hp up top since the piping diameter is larger and it flows more freely.

this exhaust sounds quite a bit throatier than a 328 exhaust. Its also heavier, so even if it does give you a few horses, it slows you down a bit too. I dont have one on my car, but i've definatly thought about it.
