as long as you have a space to hold it then it will fit but I don't even know what is e38...

is that old 5 series??

these are from the mycarr ML-00030 kit, they will fit, without modification, e39/46/e38 (chris they'll fit your 7), and with simple modification (breaking off the tabs on the top) they'll easily fit e36 (this is the kit i have in my e36).

Note, these are 2, not 4, and these dont have the CCFL light tubes in them, they are only the surrounds.
