Is that pic photoshoped or the actual rims on your car? If it's the real pic, they look great.

No the pic is photo shop, but im in a dilemma of whether to keep 17s or go 18s.

17 would probably be way more comfortable and light but 18s obviously look better. In the photoshopped pic those are 17.

These look pretty good but they do look bigger than 17's. I would go at least 18 for an e46. I bought 18's for my car for the weight and financial reasons however it didn't take me long to realize that 19's would have been a better match.

if this photo shop was done to spec, then these rims would look smaller....17"s will look much smaller in person....the only way is to test fit the actual rim to see if you like it...no elses opinion really matters

The scale of the PS is off, there's no way a 17" will fill the wheel well front to back like that, looks more like a 19".

You cant just pshop like that. You really have to put against or on the car. Or just search photos of cars with 17s, then you will know how it looks like.

I have had 17"ACS, 18" ACS and 19" Type III's. The 17's were tiny, the 18's looked ok but the 19's are meant for the E46. I am selling my 19's for 1400.... Only reason is that they have been on my E36, 330ci and I want something new for my new car.... Other than that, be assured that they are rare as heck now.

First pic doesn't look even close to what a 17 would look like on your ride, they look like 19's. I would definitely go with either a 18 or 19 on your ride.

17s on an E46 are a complete waste of time and money.

Yes, authentic ones are hard to find. My 19's are authentic and it almost makes me want to keep them still...

Those ARE 17s Have you ever seen 18 or 19 inch ACS type IIIs before. They look way bigger then the 1st pic. Its the drop that makes them look big.

P.s. Anyone know where they sell replica BBS CHs?

^^Go with minimum 18" bro. I have 17's on my car and they tend to look small at times. IMO 18's look perfect on E46's.

good choice of rims though!

Can't get replica BBS CH. Trust me, I have tried and tried. The only place where I have found them is in Australia. The hell with that!

Bimmerjoe, did I see your car in oakville at one point this weekend? I think it was yesterday night?

i had ACS TYPEIII on my e46, 18" is the right size to go in my opinion based on the roads we have in Ont. i think if we had better roads here then 19" will be a better choice but too many pot holes and you can not always maneuver around them no matter how careful you are. you can still damage the 18" rims if you are not careful.

17" will be too small for the e46.

here is a picture of the car with 18" and stock non sport suspension. if you lower it it will look great.

From the pshop, the 17s wheels look bigger than e46it's 18s. So you make the decision.

OK so it looks like Im turning my back on 17s. Im going to buy some 18 inch BBS this week. And e46IT! The car looks great on Stock Non Sport suspension!

They could be 17's but as EVERYONE else already said, you got the scale wrong. There's no way in hell 17's would fill the wheel well like that on an e46. And to answer your question I have OWNED an e46 with two sets of 17's, my best friend had an e46 with 18's and ive driven M3's with 19's, so I know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for showing my cars... Especially my E36. I still miss that car dearly. If I could buy it again, I probably would. The only memory I have from it is I kept the ACs... had them on the 330ci last and maybe on the 330i that I have now... maybe my old ride lives thru them... lol
