So i start my e36 project on monday and im having trouble picking the colour of paint that I want to paint my car with. I'm Choosing between the e36 red, the m3 blue(e36), or repainting it silver. My first car was black and i haited it because 10 minuste after washing it you could see dirt on it,and any imperfections in the body(ie. scratches) were ampilfied by the colour but when it was clean it looked amazing. So dont say black *no-no*

I'm going to go with a carbonfibre theme on the interior, wich is already black leather. There wont be to many body modification im going to keep it simple and clean. Mabe a m3 wing and, m3 rubstripes on the sides, and a m3 bumper.

Thanks for your help

I've been looking around and I've narrowed it down to four red colours:

-Imola red
-Electric red
-Bright red
-Brilliant red

All of them are original BMW colours. It would be nice to see some examples of these colours on a e36.

Thanks

The only E36 I have ever seen in Imola, and it is PERFECT. Keep in mind this colour can look VERY different depending upon the lighting, but one thing is for sure: it is downright SICK. Attacked are a few pics, notice how different it can look in the shade (E46 pic)

I think a darker silver or a grey would really look great on that car. If i had the money to buy an E36 i would get it that colour or paint it that colour.

Uughh I got held up with the towing home, so the car won't be home untill tomorrow :(. The red I'm going for is the one on the e46 a bright red not like the one on the e36, wich to me looks a bit burgendy to me. I still have a bit of time to decide, I won't start painting untill the late spring time/summer. First the whole drivetrain needs to go in.

they're actually the same just that the person who took the pics of the E36, sucks at taking pics.
