Top of the line suspension - 1500$.

from what i've heard, bagging it correctly (without doing gay shit like re-using truck parts), is about 4-5K.

just get springs & shocks, or coils if you want the adjustability.

Top of the line for airbags suspension is $3000-4000 + labour. which is another $1000.
There will be a lot of welding and cutting. You can't really use it in the winter, which you set it to one height during the whole winter. IMO, it's only for a show car.

Air Ride Technologies is good stuff and Air Struts is the way to go now.. Much better ride than bags.. air cylinders are faster but are very bouncy... Since you are in Markham check these guys out! They will hook you up... I would say your kit will be $2500-$3000 http://www.alteredaltitudecustoms.com/

i hate when people assume that coilovers are top of the line suspension.

coilovers are simply adjustable, that technology itself makes it more expensive.

You can get springs that ride just as good/better with decent shocks/struts for less money.

Agreed. Lots of people think that since coil overs cost more, they are better.

I'd take a good spring/shock combo over coil-overs any day.

then again you could slam it on some sick rims for that VIP look
which is my fav.

I don't think you shoulda said "top of the line" because when you say that, we're talking KW V3 or some shit, which is way more than $1500 bucks.

Anyways, you can pick up a bilstien PSS kit (which is non dampening adjustable, but is height adjustable) for around $1500 I believe. PSS9's for non M5 is around $1900.

when i say top of the line, i mean, out of categories that are, Cheap ebay shit, average, and top of the line. Meaning that suspension that is considered by many to be among the best, that doesn't necessarily mean its the very best.

i also never said to buy suspension new, particularly stuff like springs, they're not gonna be any different, used or new.

usually when people say top of the line, it's usually the very best. Thus the word "TOP"

Stop arguing, you know you're wrong :)

how can i be wrong? "handling" is largely subjective, meaning what i think is top of the line may be different than what you think is top of the line.

mabye i think monroe is top of the line :P

They use the same thing i was talking about "air spring" aka air strut.. very nice ride.. I am surprised of the presentation that Praxis has in their spare tire well.. You would think they would have that a little cleaner looking! Anyways try AAC they are good guys to deal with.

Get the Praxis if you want air adjustability! beware of leaks in the winter, and going so low you can't drive the car!

its a similar design to Mercedes Air struts, in the E55/E63 etc.

the car is a summer baby so it shouldnt be a problem.. thats the thing i wanna go as low as i can.. but be able to have adjustability for track or just normal road driving!!!

gamite: sick the m5 in those years is my alltime favorite.. post a pic!!

for coilovers, you don't have to spend $1500, GC kit + Koni Yellows costed me less than $1000 shipped, and it can go pretty low (depend on tire size, like everything else).
