Reminds me of a Civic. I have never seen one of these before.

The things this would do to a civic.... i won't even go there. These are very impressive little cars and the fact that its RHD makes it a little more original than a civic!

I always thought this car was a cross breed between a vw golf and a civic.

I may dyno it before i sell it, im actually pretty curious to see what the exact numbers are.

On high boost (15psi) its mostlikely between 270-280hp(crank)*rockout*

Im entertaining the idea of an r32 gtr, but i have a chance at getting an mr2 turbo for cheap, also i went and looked at an rx7 fd (single turbo). Sooo many options, i dunno what to do lol

SamE30e - thanks!

Thadose - Pm on the way

Sorry for headin off topic, but are the MR2 and the FD RHD also? You get the cars locally or you have a hook up overseas?

Ive been bit by the jdm bug :P

I've been in a struggle with that decision for years now. I'm afriad i'll like TOO MUCH.

But if i do make the transition to JDM, it's gonna be a FD or R32/33 (soon). Nothing else. As much as i love the MR2's, they feel too funny for me in the bends with the engine screaming behind you. Call me old fashioned, but I like my engine setups FR.

Ya, you can't drive like a girl!

Engine parts are pretty easy to get for this car, cause it is a SR20. Either way, you SHOULD be able to get all the parts at the dealer!

so i guess he can't sell this to you, now, can he, keven?

DriveItSideways

There are no special regulations, this car is known to the government as a regular Nissan Pulsar (NX), therefore insurance is so damn cheap its almost not funny.

Its very easy to drive RH, you just need to practice extra precaution when making left turns. This may sound dumb but i actually prefer the right side.

As far as parts go, its extremely easy to find as there is tons of authentic nismo parts on fleabay and other online stores that have endless amount of stock replacement and upgraded parts.

Also alot of parts are interchangeable from the Nissan Sentra SER.

Whatever you do stay away from Tiger Japanese, all of the cars from there blow up 1000k's after driving them off the lot.

Ya, i heard about those assholes. When i was contemplating getting one back when the 89's were first allowed in canada, i delt with Monkey's Inc. and then locally with some white guy, Gabe, and he was getting his cars from the same place. Not sure if they're still around though.

let me guess it was a RX7? lol

I know of a couple rx7s that blew out the apex seals shortly after being bought, most recently was a skyline r32 gtr, spun a bearing 1500ks after picking it up.

Id hate to spend 10g's only to blow the motor then spend another few g's to get it repaird.

Thadose
03-07-2008, 05:18 PM
rx7 i can understand cause they need special care to drive here (dude at work knows the details cause he owned a 11 sec rx7 and hes club had jdm motors going on them all the time)

skyline... that sucks :( what happen to the motor? full rebuild cause of the bearing?

but realistic just look a the cars at tiger, they are not really taken care of in japan or by them, most have busted windows with snow in them :S, but 10gs is alot of money to spend at tiger... i know ppl buying mr2s and older supras that run alrite but they were spending 4 to 5 grand tops

got to really inspect the cars at tigers.. all i got to say lol

oh really? how does that work?

DriveItSideways
03-08-2008, 05:26 PM
There is a fuse that you take out that disables the front differential making it rwd.

03-08-2008, 06:54 PM

my buddy picked one these up, i think he got it from tiger... not too sure tho, and he's had a shit load of problems with his... BUT he never got the right one they sold him the one that came here for a parts car so he kinda got screwed he paid 8 something for his, it also came with adjustable suspension OZ light weight 5 star rims and a bunch of shit, but its running better now tho

DriveItSideways
04-10-2008, 02:44 PM
Tiger has a few of them right now in the $6000 area. They have higher mileage and are beat up pretty bad.

Tell your buddy to take it back since they gave him the wrong car. I know where he can get a mint one around 8k.
