Is there a speeding blitz going on this month. Three days ago, I was in Aurora, coming across Wellington and I got pulled over for doing 68 in a 50 zone!!!! Then today, I am on the Queensway, I got pulled over for doing 76 in a 60 zone!!!! WTF, i swear cops got nothing better to do then harass people. Fckin cops, I fckin hate pigs...

Why did you downgrade from an e46 M3/Porsche/05 330/etc to a e36 M3 and 318 ?

pfft... my genious lawyer just settled on an HOV ticket of mine.
This shrewd negotiator talked them out of a 3 point HOV ticket and $110 fine to a $50 zero points "failure to obey sign" ticket.

What a waste of $250. He accepted a deal that any joe schmoe off the street can get. Now I gotta go talk to him and get this fat overpaid asshole to reopen the case. And to top it all off, he has 2 of my other tickets. Now I got to spend the next 3 years looking over my shoulder and pray to god the cop doesnt show up for my other 2 tickets otherwise I get to sit back and watch as my insurance triples.

Well I had an e46 M3, but a great deal came across on a 330cic. So I bought it for the summer, then stored it for the winter and got the E90 as a daily driver. Hated it (E90) so got rid of it and bought a 02 330ci as the daily. Then a friend of mine was getting rid of his 01 C2 Cab and I was in love with it, I am still a huge Porsche fan. Wifey said, can't have both, so I sold the 330cic and the 330ci. Then, life has its ups and downs, so I sold the Porsche and bought a 318is with the intention of building it up, a sleeper. Got a great deal on a E36 M3 salvaged, so I bought it for the parts. Now I am in the process of tearing down the 318is and putting everything from the M3 onto the chasis of the 318is. I like the E36 body style the most, so that's what I went with.

Why do you ask?

Just curious, was a bit surprised to see it like that (the past vs the current cars). That was interesting though :)

I've had another Porsche, 5 other BMW's prior to that list and a MINI, an MB, a Ford (save the comments, I was young!!!) in there somewhere. I'm somewhat of a car nut and like to drive different things. I used to change cars every 14-16 months. But once you get married, and your wife does not understand changing cars all the time, you learn to settle down a bit. So yeah, all you single guys, DO NOT GET MARRIED!!!

Actually I never ever got a ticket in any of my Porsches, just in my BMW's. Never got one in my MB or my MINI. Just my BMW's.

if you were doing 60 in a 50 zone and 70 in a 60 zone they would've left you alone

i dont think your life would've changed if you were going 8km/h slower or 6km/h on the second one... from my experience they'll nab anyone going 15 over the limit +

but hey thats just me, good luck on your tickets

10 over in toronto. 50 in a 40, 60 in a 50, 70 in a 60. you can do 100 in a 80 i find without problems, and i usually go 129 on the highway.

i've seen people get nailed for 15 over tickets recently.

I got my first (and hopefully only) speeding ticket leaving the maXbimmer meet at Mosport. :D

He nailed me travelling at 28 over the limit and reduced the ticket to 10 over on the spot.

I knew I was wrong and got off lucky, so I just paid the ticket and didn't even think of fighting it.

Enough people are getting nailed for 15 over. Seems like the cops are out there for collections rather than actually serving a usefull purpose. I had my 30 over ticket reduced to 15 over and no points off my license, it's bullshit but oh well. The prosecutor told me even 1km over the limit is speeding. I responded by asking "then why are tickets and fines put into place at the 15 over mark?" He didn't know how to respond and just grinned.

I agree I was speeding, but from my experience, cops usually leave you alone as long as your not going 20+ over the speed limit and weaving. It just seems that they are getting more tight fisted about speeding, but not for the guys doing 140 in a 100, but for guys who are doing 65 in a 50. Isn't 40 over more dangerous than 15 over??

Get a laser jammer like myself, havent got a single ticket since I got the thing.
Forget radar detectors, I see laser everywhere nowadays.

i got pulled while doin 60 in a 50...cop accused me of doing 50 over. and then left me with a warning. i was not pleased. he asked me if had ever gotten a ticket..i said no.. he's like are you really sure about that? and glares at me..then comes back and tells me to slow down..
