Isn't dynojet the dyno that typically gives the best numbers?

Or is that mustang?

or both...

216 at the whizzles??? good numbers for a 95 m3. and you said it was slower....

You should have done a run before you changed the vanos, but those numbers are damn good for a stockish, high mileage engine.

The fuel problems Shell had was years back now... I've been using Shell for years now, no issues. So do many of my friends.

I'm going to Disneyworld!

No really, tuning first. Gonna see what's left with all the stock hardware (not jumping to the 3.5" HFM and DEFINITELY not bigger injectors yet).

$30 w/o AFR, February special.

Well no, he might have done extensive internal motor work that i don't know about.
It's an unopened S50B30US. When I bought it in June I had the lifters done, and then replaced the Vanos in January. That's about it for motor news.

Nice Numbers Jay. I think we should line it up.
Quackers, wait in line bro
Yeah man, we definitely gotta do it up. Last time we ran I had 4 faulty ignition coils as well as broken Vanos, haha. It's honeslty pretty surprising how strong the motor still is, at the very least the last owner was a jackass when it came to maintenance. Must have been a dealer baby before that.

The fuel problems Shell had was years back now... I've been using Shell for years now, no issues. So do many of my friends.

Shell 91 > Sunoco 94... all day any day
I completely agree. I've concluded that it is because the Shell 91 does not have any ethanol, which the Sunoco 94 is stuffed with (as well as Esso 91). I get measurably better gas mileage with Shell 91 vs. those other two, I'm not going back.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Yes sir... Not only the fuel mileage is better, I've spoken to a very good tuner and he dislikes the Ethanol in Sunoco 94 because he had major detonation issues with it.

This was however on a few 930 turbo Porsches and not a BMW. But still, he said he told the owner to dump the Sunoco 94 and put in Shell V-power, and everything was good.

Since that time, I only suggest V-Power to people. Especially after finding out it had no Ethanol at all which I love.

Most stock S50s seem to be getting 200-210 on Dynojets, and I have yet to see a chart for one with as much mileage as mine.

Since it came up...

I really was starting to worry about the ethanol in sunoco 94 as well. I think I will try Shell 91 even though I have the MarkD chip for an M50TU. If the ECU retards timing b/c it senses pinging/detonation or whatever, will I be able to feel it or will I be blindly happy with less power?

I plan on making up that .5seconds by removing the sunroof and doing the CSL carbon fiber roof mod. Just waiting for the roof bow to come in. Oh and when I come back from Bimmerfest East, I might be sporting the Stage 2 upgrade. All that to beat your stockish E36 M3......I suck*shiner*
