Last night my car got backed into. I think that is one of the very worst sites I have ever seen. Walkin out to the parking lot to find a huge ****in dent in my car plus a scratch running half way down it. It's funny how stuff like that works I think i woulda bin less mad in they backed into me rather than my car!
anyways I know some people who are amazing at body work but I was thinking about getting the entire car painted at a professional shop. Does anyone here know roughly how much it would cost to paint an e36 excluding hood and nose panel?

Not sure about cost, but my recommendation is to wait until spring time to do it.

Unless there is exposed metal, than you should make sure rust doesnt form.

not really any exposed metal but i just hate seeing my car that way
no body has a rough guess how much a decent paint job runs?

It can any where from (1000 - 6000) depending were you go because maaco will do it cheap and you get what you pay for. I agree you should wait until it warms up because the paint will cure better giving you a better finish.

I might be wrong, but I believe a parking lot hit and run is a comprehensive claim which doesn't affect your rates. Freebie paint job. I had that with my previous car like 10 years ago.
