i dont know what to do. i want to save up some money to get a different e30 but then again i want to keep mine. help me out

Things stopping me from selling it is because it is my first car and i have put well over 100 hours into it by doing a ton of body work and some repairs. It seems to be running strong, but i dont know if it would be worth maintaining and fixing it 100% or just saving my money and buy a e30 or e34 in better condition. The main thing i am worried about is if i get the car painted and the rust starts comming back.

things wrong with my car-
needs new power steering rack
needs new paint job
floor is begining to rust. (the floor caps fell out and its rusted around)
engine does have 370k but runs strong
sometimes i switch into 4th and the clutch is pressed down and the gears make a little grind..Is this a sign that my clutch has had its better days and needs a replacement?
rough idling
sometimes turns over countless times before starting ( may be problem with cold start?)
cracked radiator

Ive obviously thought about driving it until its "dead" but then i wouldnt get as much money for it as if it were running.

P.S if u dont have anything intelligent to say like "ur car is a peice of shit and u should send it to the junk yard" then dont.

Mine is the silver one.

Dude, drive the piss outta the car, do some mods you can learn how to work on e30s, when you think you had enough sell it or part out and save for another. Save at least 2k for a worthy project that will need some work. Or sell now and start saving.

edit: from your pic it looks okay, but if its as crusty as you say then don't go all out, just do some suspension mods or a chip and drive the piss outta it.

If you don't mind me asking, what "other" e30 are you thinking about getting?

Do what e30_kid said. Drive the **** outta it. You're lucky you have a mediocre e30 as a 'first car' I sure wish I did, because its annoying trying to take care of every little detail on a car you care about, especially since its a first, and the first time around usually things don't go smoothly. ie hitting crap, accidents, etc. I sure am damn lucky with the crap I missed with my red car so far.

Do mods u can take out and use in your next e30. Don't waste it on body mods, rustfixing etc. suspension, chip, wheels, easy crap to carry on.

its chipped already. Maybe at the meets ull see the car and give me more input.

the e30 id LIKE to have is a 325iS. But realisticly, another 325i or 325is, from 86-91. as long as it has a solid body.

Thanks alot for ur guys input. Its 100% true what ur saying about things not going too smoothly first time around :D. If i got something like a sexy looking red iS :D and i scratched or hit something, i wouldnt be able to forgive myself. as for body, painting the 2 quarter panels wouldnt hurt lol.
