I would love to pick up a clean e30 M3, and slowly turn it into my track car, plus weekend warrior.
I recently sold my e46 M3, so I need something fun and for the track.
I have found a few on s14.net but was wondering if there is anything local? Thanks.

Keep looking on s14.net...I think it would be the best place to find a clean, non-molested tastefully modded or stock e30 m3.

Another e30 M3 owner showed me that site too, but I find they are asking a lot for their cars.
I was also thinking of trying to find a 94 e36 M3, that year it came with the euro M3 motor.

If you are looking for a track toy you can have the same amount of fun for a lot less money with a non-m e30. E30 M3's are becoming collector cars, and the nice, clean, unmolested examples are fetching more and more. Non-m's are going up (the clean ones), but for half the price of a nice M3 you can have a ready to rock non-m.

I need something with some juice still. While the e30 M was not a rocket, its still had some juice.
I was even looking at really early S2000s aswell.

That site belongs to a good friend of mine, email him and he'll find you what you're looking for (he has the means to easily locate and import a car from the US or Germany).

I know you said locally, but if that fails and your up for a road trip, I have been watching this company's inventory for a while, and they look to be true enthusiasts. Some solid modified E30's the last time I looked.

Oops, just noticed Robb mentioned this place as well.

325iS with a chip is pretty much as fast as an M3 (especially in the mid-range).

the major advantage the e30 M3 has is the weight.

I actually just saw this car while i was posting up my cavalier for sale today...http://www.yourautomarket.com/listing_detail.php?a=moredetail&ad_id=1190152231&page=search_used.php&rpage=8
Im pretty sure I know the owner of this car and His son is or used to be on this forum. From what I remember this car looked pretty clean. Mind you I never really did my homework on m3's and dont know all that much about em..

Im pretty sure it is the same guy that used to live in my area cause I do know that he moved o st catherines. They have the same name, And I do know that he is a mechanic and really loved his car. Its worth a look i think.

Another misconception. A 325iS weighs less than an M3.

Seriously Pej, all an E30 M3 will be for a track only car is more expensive. S14 are expensive to keep running, and if they stop running, even more expensive.

That white e30 m3 posted in this thread is mine.

It's still for sale, however the mileage in the ad is a mistake, it's considerably higher...

It's a perfect track car and a solid base for a project car. Price is negotiable. It's going up on ebay in the next week.
